Responsibilities

Join a high performing team providing engineering of Commercial planning, scheduling, and data requests for Space and Intelligence. Serve our decision makers and warfighters by providing Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) across multiple emerging software segments developed and delivered across cloud and on premises. Be part of an engineering team that is leveraging cutting edge processes and technology across Agile, cloud, and automation to deliver Commercial space capabilities. 

 

You will focus on providing engineering and project management of mission planning, scheduling, and data requests for Commercial space missions by defining Program Epics, Architectures diagrams, and dependencies. Furthermore, you will analyze interfaces and schedules to maximize iterative integration opportunities and verify acceptance criteria via Demonstrations and Enterprise Tests. Your responsibilities are to:  

  • Facilitate integration focused Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) and frequently brief recommendations to senior Government representatives. 
  • Define Agile Program Epics to ensure interfaces are well defined, CONOPS is fully represented, and data definitions and dependencies are documented to enable development and integration. 
  • Analyze Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Application Programmable Interfaces (APIs), assessing what modifications and enhancements are needed for future capabilities. 
  • Create architecture diagrams such as: System View 1 (SV-1) and sequence diagrams to articulate how data flows across multiple software segments to exchange messages and produce Intelligence. 
  • Evaluate data and metadata exchanges across software systems to enable end to end Commercial data collection and processing. 
  • Plan and orchestrate Informal Integration Windows (IIWs) and Solution Demonstrations to iteratively integrate and conduct early Verification and Validation. 
  • Support enterprise cross-organization formal System Tests prior to major software deliveries into Operations. 

 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
  • Must Possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly  
  • Experience with Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) and/or Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT). 
  • Knowledge of GEOINT systems, CONOPS, and metadata. 
  • Knowledge of mission planning, scheduling, and data requests for space systems 
  • Knowledge of SAFe or Agile frameworks. 
  • Knowledge of GEOINT systems, processes, or products 
  • Strong representational, oral, and written communications skills; including the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products. 
  • Proven organization and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interface effectively via written and oral forums with personnel at all levels of government. 

Desired: 

  • Experience with EO or RADAR sensors, CONOPS, data types, or products 
  • Experience with Commercial Space programs.  
  • Experience with requirements, architecture and interface analysis, Agile integration, and informal/formal testing. 
  • Experience or knowledge of cloud services. 
  • Experience with commercial Atlassian tools (e.g. Confluence, JIRA). 
  • Experience with cross domain solutions
